The question we often get these days is, “Do you think the government is going to pass socialized health care?”
The answer we usually give is, “I hope not.” This isn’t for the reason you might suspect. (that it would put us out of business) No, actually the reason is that the government is not very efficient at managing much of anything. We usually tell the client who thinks that “free” government health care would be a good thing to go stand in line at the DMV for an hour and see how their health care would very likely be run by a government agency.
Also, remember that we never get anything “free” from the government. For the government to “give”, they have to “take”. Your taxes would go up. By any objective measurement, socialized medicine has been a failure anywhere in the world where it’s been tried.
So, what do we do about the high cost of health care? One answer is our Health Plans 4 Less Approach™. We generally save our clients 30 – 50% on their monthly premiums and give them much better benefits…especially in the areas that really matter the most.
